Bhutan-Tibet Tour Itinerary Welcome! The moment you arrive in the mighty Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, you know that you are in a different globe that never experienced before in your life. The air is clean and crisp, the landscape a rich ecological phenomenon, while sacred monasteries and fluttering prayer flags dot the landscapes. The people in their spacious farm houses constructed in distinct traditional architectures reflect a peaceful and easy co-existence with the surroundings. The mood is deeply spiritual and the kingdom’s unique cultural heritage is visible everywhere. This trip will stretches from western to central eastern part of Bhutan and will be continue through out the Buddhist neighboring country Tibet via Nepal.
On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received by representatives of Lhuethag Adventure and escort to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro. Day2 Paro Sightseeing
Morning excursion to Taktsang the "Tiger's Nest" perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 900m overlooking the Paro valley and the river. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon visit the National museum and the massive fortress of Rimpung Dzong (the fort on the heap of jewels. overnight stay at hotel in Paro. Morning drive to Thimphu Capital city onn route visiting the Semtokha Dzong built in 1629 by Ngawang Namgyel. On arrival visit the National Memorial Chorten, the Handicrafts Emporium and Tashi Chhodzong the main secretariat building. This massive structure houses part of the Government Ministries, the office of the King and the Throne Room and the office and the living quarters of the Monk Body and its Chief Abbot. Over night at hotel in Thimphu.
Visit the National Library where a vast collection of ancient manuscripts is preserved. Visit the Institute of 13 arts & crafts and institute of Traditional Medicines. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon drive up to Dechencholing and visit the Pangrizampa Monastery and take a walk around country side. Over night at hotel in Thimphu.
Morning drive to Wangdiphodrang via Punakha. On route drop at Dochula Pass (3080mtrs) have a cup of hot tea/ coffee and to enjoy the most spectacular view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. Punakha was the old capital of Bhutan. The Punakha Dzong located between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu meaning “Male River and Female River". After lunch visit, Wangdiphodrang Dzong and its small town are perched on a hill between two rivers. Overnight at hotel in Wangdue
Morning drives to Trongsa across the Pelela pass (3270 mtrs). Enroute visit the gracious valley of Phobjikha. Gangtey is a beautiful place situated at an altitude of 3000m. During winters, we can also see the famous Black Necked Cranes there. Visit the Nyingma Institute and the Monastery at Gangtey Goenpa. After lunch, proceed towards Trongsa. Overnight at resort in Trongsa.
Mornings, visit the Trongsa Dzong and the Watch Tower. The Trongsa Dzong was the ancestral home of the ruling dynasty. It was built in 1643 by Chogyel Minjur Tempa. The Ta-Dzong, an ancient Watch Tower displays many interesting armors used by the Bhutanese soldiers during the olden days. Lunch at the hotel and leave for Bumthang. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.
Visit the historical Jakar Dzong built by Minjur Tenpa, the third Druk Desi (Temporal ruler) in 1646. Visit several ancient and important monasteries such as, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Kuenchogsum Lhakhang, Tamshing and Pema Samba Lhakhangs. Also, visit the Bumthang Swiss farm and the Meber Tso “The flaming Lake” which is considered one of the most important pilgrimage spots. Over night at hotel in Bumthang.
A full day excursion to Ura Valley and Ugyen Choling. Visitors can drive up to Ura and take a leisure stroll in the clustered village of Ura. Pack lunch in Ura and on return journey, visit Ugyen Choling palace in Tang at present housed for Traditional Museum. Over night at hotel in Bumthang. Day10 Bumthang – Punakha (6hrs)
After an early breakfast, drive to Punakha. Enroute visit Chime Lhakhang (Monastery of fertility) built 1499 by Ngawang Chogyel. Halt at Punakha. Leisure and relax in the evening. Day11 Punakha – Paro (5hrs) After breakfast, drive to Paro enroute visiting Semtokha Dzong built in 1629 by Zhabdrung Rimpoche, the foundered of Bhutan, and Traditional Paper Factory. Have lunch at Thimphu and resume your journey to Paro. Day12 Paro Bhutan- Katmandu
After an early breakfast representatives of Luethag Adventures will escort you to Paro Airport to see off onto your onward destination with thanks for visiting Bhutan through us. You will be warmly received by our counterpart in Katmandu and transfer to hotel to continue your tours. Relax and enjoy rest of your trips. Day13- 01 Sightseeing in Katmandu
Morning explore the Katmandu city & visit the legendary Buddhist Swayambhunath stupa. After lunch visit Patan & Handicraft Centre and towards evening leisurely stroll around the town. Day14- 02 Katmandu-Lasa
After your arrival at Lhasa our counterpart from another destination will warmly receive you and transfer to the hotel. Relax and prepare for the next days programme. Day15- 02 Lhasa Sightseeing Today visit the legendary Buddhist Sera Monastery, Jokhang temple and sock in the magical atmosphere of Barkhor bazaar.
After breakfast drive to Lassa Airport to connect the flight back to Karmandu. Relax or stroll around the Katmandu city.
