Seasons: March to May & September to November


Day 1 Arrive Paro International Airport.
 Afternoon visit the Paro Dzong. It was built in 1645 and now houses government offices and religious institutions, as do all the Dzongs (fortress) currently. You will cross a traditional wooden bridge on the way to the Dzong. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country and Drukgyel Dzong .On a clear day, you can see Bhutan’s second highest Mount Jomulhari. Overnight at hotel in Par.


Day 2  Paro Sightseeing.
After breakfast drive to Taktsang Monastery. The name Taktsang means "Tiger’s Nest". Located on top of the rook with height of 900 mtrs from the ground level overlooking the Paro valley. Lunch at Taktsang Cafeteria. Visit the National museum and Rimpung Dzong.  Overnight at hotel.


Day 3 Journey to Kyela Goenpa (2 hrs).  
After an early breakfast drive, uphill to Chelela pass at 3989 meters where one can see beautiful mountain ranges and rhododendron flowers in bloom. Take a walk on the Chelela pass for spectacular views of mountain range and Haa valley on the other side of the pass. Drive back until road head to Kyela Goenpa and start the hike for just 45 minutes walk from starting point. Overnight camp at near Kyela Goenpa. 


Day 4 -10 Meditations starts…

Day 11 Kyela Goenpa – Thimphu (2 ½ hrs).      After breakfast, drive to Thimphu (Capital of Bhutan). It takes 2 ½ hours drive along the valleys of Paro and Thimphu rivers offering gorgeous scenic views at every turn. One can see Tachogang Lhakhang “temple of the hill of the excellent horse” built in 14th century by Drupthog Thangthong Gyalpo (Tibetan saint). As you continue your journey, you will see three styles of stupa “Tibetan style, Nepalese and Bhutanese style” in the confluence of the Pachu & Wangchu (Chu means River). Overnight hotel in Thimphu..


Day 12 Thimphu Sightseeing. 
Morning visit the Memorial Chorten and Changangkha Lhakhang built in 12 century. Visit the National Library where ancient manuscripts are preserved and the Institute of traditional arts & Crafts is still kept alive. Visit the Handicrafts Emporium where Bhutanese textiles and other arts and crafts are displayed if you wish do some shopping. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon, visit Semtokha Dzong. The first Dzong built by Zhabdrung in 1629 and Tashi Chhodzong - the capital Dzong of Bhutan where thrown of the King and various important offices of the Ministers and office of Chief Abbot. Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.


Day 13 Thimphu - Punakha via Wangdiphodrang (3 ½ hrs). 
After breakfast, drive to Punakha and Wangdue. On route drop at Dochula, pass (3080mtrs) for a spectacular view of the eastern Himalayan mountain ranges and have a tea / coffee at cafeteria. Farther drive to Wangdiphodrang Dzong and its small towns are perched on a hill between two rivers. Lunch at Wangdue. After lunch resume to Punakha the old capital of Bhutan. It is also the winter residence for the State Monastic Body and its Chief Abbot. The Dzong (fortress) lies between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu, which means "Male and Female River." It was built in 1637 AD. Evening drive up stream to Khamsum Yulley Stupa consecrated in 1998. Overnight at hotel in Punakha.


Day 14 Punakha – Paro (4 ½ hrs).  After breakfast, drive to Paro. Enroute visit Chhimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility built on a spectacular site in 1499 by Ngawang Chogyel on the site where founded by Drukpa Kuenley after subdueing the demoness of the Dochula pass with his “Magic thunderbolt” of wisdom. A wooden effigy of the lama’s thunderbolt is preserved in the Lhakhang, which is believed to have certain spiritual power to restore fertility to childless women. Thus, many childless women visit the temple to get blessing. Lunch at Dochula and overnight stay at hotel in Paro.


Day 15 Drive to Paro International Airport for departure.
